Title Design Websites
I found the 'Art of the Title' website by searching for movie title sequences and stumbled upon this great website. When you open the link, the first thing you see is "2021 Emmy Nominations for Main Title Design". The writer acknowledges Studio King and Country for winning the Outstanding Main Title Design Emmy award. There is also a button that you can click that says "Title Sequences" it shows you three articles about "Main Title Design awards", "Title Design Finalists" and an article about a film called "Rock Hunter". Besides these articles you can click on "view all titles" and it will show you hundreds of clips from movies showing the title sequence. Next to the first button "Title Sequence" it says "Design+Studios" then it shows a list of at least one hundred designers and studios. If you click on anyone you can read about the studio or designer of a film that shows a title sequence.
The next website is 'watch the titles' and it is a very detailed web page that gives you information of designers, studios and a lot more. When you fist get to the website you are presented with a slide show of Designers and after they show a designer's interview, they show one of their films. Above the small slide show there are buttons to click for different categories. When you click on "Title Sequences" they give you a list of feature films, TV shows, Event titles, Student projects, Video games, and French Fridays. If you click on any one it will give you a list of a whole bunch of films to research. Next to "Title Sequence" there is a button called 'Designers" and when you press on it, you are presented with a list of film designers and below their name will say a few of their most famous films. Next to this button you see a "studios" option that looks identical to the designers but instead of the designer's name, there are studios names and below showing some of their best work. There is also a space where it allows you to search any movie, studio, designer, or interview you wish.
Both of the websites have more or less the same content. I would prefer "watch the titles". Simply because it shows interviews with designers and studios. You are also allowed to search for whatever film you wish on "watch the titles". The two websites shown however are very useful in a title research.
