Creative Critical Reflection

This is my Creative Critical Reflect on my movie project. I chose to do a make-up video like the VOGUE beauty secrets that I always love to watch. Hope you enjoy!

Project blog! Finally complete!!

This is my final task. it took a while. there were many mistakes needed to be fixed. And even some last minute changes. overall, i'm proud of what me and my group members have made. i knew when we made the plot it was good but i was worried how it would come out. it met my expectations and i think we need some improvements but for our first time i would say we did pretty good. I will probably work with them again. we worked well together. we each did our part. No arguments were made. So happy!

final editing

Since my group has all the scenes don, it's time to complete editing. Since we more or less edited along the way theres not much to do. Anytime we would film we just added it to the project on iMovie. todays editing focused on the writing for the title sequence, volume and anything else we might need to fix. I was excited for the title sequence editing because it will look more or less done. For the title sequence, we just had to look at the storyboard to figure out what goes where and what names we use. On iMovie it gives you many different font options and pop up options. we chose to do the one called "focus. we chose this one because it seemed fitting since it looked a little spooky and its a horror film. We had the percet amount of time for each title sequence. We decided to keep all the other ones white and the title name red for a scary effect. We weren't sure if we had to add "directed by.." at the end of the title sequence or at the end of the whole two

Changes from film review

After sending our film to coach Jamie, she gave us feedback. like i previously said in the blog a few days ago she suggested we change the lighting. The scenes she was referring to in particular were the inside on the coach scenes. When we did it originally it was getting dark out so it made sense she thought it was too dark. Re-filming this wasn't an issue since we already knew what to do. We met filmed on Tuesday. Since parker can drive, we all went to my house after school and she took us. We already had the news video filmed so we didn't have to worry about that. We set up my phone to my tv so we could play the news scene. I made sure all the lights were on and the blinds were open. Violet was behind the phone so she made sure the lighting was good. Once we were certain it looked better than before we started filming. We kept going from the storyboard to script to filming so we wouldn't have to film again and everything was right. We had to re-film the scene where Naom

Royalty Free Music

Image
Todays blog is about music. We waited to do music until we were finished with all the scenes because we thought it made more sense that way. We knew from the very beginning  we would have scary and suspenseful music. We figured we wouldn't need any famous artist song so we didn't email anyone. Thankfully we were right. We all went to parkers house after school so we could finish this up. Parker and I looked up "royalty free music" at first i thought it was an actual website until i realized there are so many different websites and the music that we use is royalty free. We found this website called "pixabay.com" this gave us the option to search up genre or mood of music we wanted to use. I typed in "scary suspense." There were so many options to choose from so I played them all and we listened for one we thought would fit. We ended up using three songs.  The first one is for the title sequence. This song is called "drone" and it sounds s

Film review!

Although we don't have all of our film finished, we are doing a film review. We still have to touch up the title sequence scenes. And we still have to add music and the words that go in the title sequence. We sent the film and pitch to parker siena and violets soccer coach. We chose her because we didn't want to choose our parents or friends who might hold back on critiquing us. Coach Jamie is very honest and will tell us the truth. We emailed her what we had so far. She said she liked the idea and with the music it will look better. One thing she pointed out was the lighting. the lighting in the walking scene and title sequence was good. The scenes where the girls are inside watching the news is too dark. It was filmed at my house and the furniture is dark brown and on top of that it was not very sunny out. somehow we didn't notice how dark it actually was. Im glad she said something about that because i wouldn't have noticed. We read what she had said and agreed. thi
