Adding music

Today we added music. We don’t have all the clips for our movie yet. That doesn’t mean we can’t still add music. A few blogs ago I talked about how violet and I emailed two famous music artists. They did not respond which was slightly expected. The next resort is royalty free music. After stalking about which music we think would fit best we came to a conclusion. For the intro we decided to make it a bit more up beat. For the scary parts the music should be a little suspenseful. Addie had a good idea for the part where the girls are watching the scary movie. I went on royalty free music websites on line and the others found some on YouTube. Since we used iMovie it’s very easy to add. You can just click record and put a phone up to the one recording and it transfers. My favorite part is the music over the movie scene. It sounds pretty scary and like it’s an actual movie. I also like the part where violet and Addie look up towards the end. Music really adds to the short film. Even though the music artists we emailed didn’t answer we still found a way. I really like how this is coming together.

  “Time For Dinner” the short film portrays imagination through a young child's eyes. Toys may just look like plastic things with no life to them to us now, but we did not always think that way. Adults once too would sit for hours at a time playing with those ‘plastic things’. Somehow, our brain was able to create a whole new world with characters we created, and sometimes we would forget the real world for a second.  1. how does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?     In todays society, you don't see much love or kindness being spread. Sometimes all someone wants or needs to hear is a compliment or something nice and it can save their life. The idea behind our commercial was to "spread joy." If you notice in one clip there is a kid sitting looking sad on a bench and he is given a note that cheers him up. There isn't one specific social group being represented its more of a society as a whole and how important it is to spread kindness. A big issue world wide is selfishness and depression and we thought our commercial could spread some light on that. 2.   There are many things that make a genre clear to what it is. For example, the genre Thriller has usually always has these factors to it.     camera angles:     -High angle/ Birds view: This is used in thriller to give the effect that whatever is being looked down upon looks vulnerable or powerless compared to what is behind the camera.     -close ups: This angle allows the camera to give a clear view of the characters emotions to the event happening .     -Tilted angle: This adds tension to the scene at hand and sometimes signifying a supernatural occurrence.
