Editing our movie

 Today is editing day. Since we finished most scenes we want to put them together. The editing website we are using is iMovie. We are all very familiar with this app. iMovie allows us to combine different videos without making it look like it has many cuts. We can also edit the coloring on it. My favorite thing about iMovie is that it is very easy to add music to the videos. We filmed all of the clips on Addies phone. This worked out well because she wanted to edit it. It is usually annoying to have to send the videos to the person editing so this was very convenient. We were watching the videos during class and decided to make some clips shorter and other things. Since it was easier to just let one person do it we let Addie take over. This was nice for me because usually i do all the editing and it’s quite exhausting. Since we decided to make very little cuts throughout filming it made it a lot easier for her to edit. Addie finished pretty quickly and we watched it. For what we have right now, it looks very good. We still need to film the little girl and add that to the clips. The next thing to do is music and the titles. After that, we will be done.

  “Time For Dinner” the short film portrays imagination through a young child's eyes. Toys may just look like plastic things with no life to them to us now, but we did not always think that way. Adults once too would sit for hours at a time playing with those ‘plastic things’. Somehow, our brain was able to create a whole new world with characters we created, and sometimes we would forget the real world for a second. It seems as though no one truly recognizes or appreciates imagination, and that is exactly what I wanted to show with this short film.  My movie represents children's imagination and how things children see in everyday life can affect their mind. Society has become a scary world to live in and sometimes it is hard to shield the young generation from it.   CAMS:  There is no music video for our song choice, Are we still friends by Tyler The Creator, so we looked at his othe songs to do our research. We noticed a lot of usage of tracking shots. A character would be seen traveling from place to place. Also, the camera would pan across the landscape to show establishing shots a lot. There are also a lot of close ups and POV shots.  CLAMPS: The costumes are regular attire for the most part, nothing exactly special. Lighting depends on the scene, but a lot of his videos have an outside setting . As far as acting, we can see real emotion in all of the actors' facial expressions. The music is obviously the song in the background. Props used a lot were phones, food, and cars. The setting was generally outside, with a lot of nature, or inside with low depressing lighting because most of his songs are on the sad side.  SOUND: The sound is the song in the background, there are a decent amount of beat drops in Tyler The Creator'...

Group Introduction

      For my group project some may say I got lucky. I get to work with my three other friends. This may not seem like the best idea but i know they are smart hardworking individuals. I will start with myself and my task in this project. I said in my intro that I have some talent in the artistry department so that will be my job. For the story board it is important that is is easy to understand with well drawn pictures.      S econd we have Mila, I met mila last year and which is surprising because of everything with COVID. she has a very intelligent mind and a good creative eye. this means she is our editor.
